Crytek UK Files New TimeSplitters: Future Perfect Trademark
May 02, 2010, 09:45:17 PM by rob1983
http://www.thatgamingsite.com/id404-Crytek-UK-Files-New-TimeSplitters-Future-Perfect-Trademark.htmlCrytek UK has filed a new trademark registration for TimeSplitters: Future Perfect. The application was filed on April 26th 2010, Future Perfect was previously released on the Xbox, Gamecube and PlayStation 2 in 2005.
Superannuation assumes this could hint at a PC release for the title as it was the only major platform of the time which never saw the game released for it.
Crytek UK was originally Free Radical Design, the studio was acquired by Crytek in early 2009 after the company entered administration. The studio was originally working on TimeSplitters 4 before being acquired, the project is currently on hold.

Crytek UK working on Original IP shooter (Not TimeSplitters)
“We are currently concepting up an original IP that we hope will become a defining game series for the UK studio,” reveals Karl Hilton, studio manager. “However, in reality, the opportunity to make any kind of original FPS genre game where we get to focus on the quality of both the multiplayer and single player experience is what drives people at the studio. We have a strong history of creativity here, and we want to take that forward with Crytek and the CryENGINE 3.” Source - http://www.develop-online.net/features/631/Crytek-Across-the-WorldI hear the TimeSplitters dream fading in the distance... Here's my personal opinion at this point. This can either be a really bad thing, or a really good thing if you look at this from a TimeSplitters fan perspective. Let's be honest, the TimeSplitters story line really ended with Future Perfect, a 4th instalment is a stretch of...

Cry Lee uses words like WHEN with TimeSplitters news
If one thing has come of the embarrassing attention we've received on the Mycrisis forum (aka Crytek home base) it's an interesting reply from Cry Lee, a community manager there. http://www.mycrysis.com/thread.php?postid=427075#post427075I love the passion that the TimeSplitters community representative has, however, you shouldn't come to a forum demanding a game. The decision to either develop or produce the next game will be up to more informed and better suited people than you or myself.
Development times for games can and do vary, these include announcements and teasers. When we have news regarding TimeSplitters you will hear it here first! I'm just pointing out the use of the word WHEN instead of IF.

Crytek wants to see a demand for TimeSplitters
It's nice to finally see some mention about TimeSplitters, especially with the word publisher in the same proximity. Quizzed as to whether or not a series such as TimeSplitters would fit in alongside the likes of the ultra realistic Crysis, Hilton replied: “Going forward with future projects, it will be up to us to talk to publishers about what they want, be it the old TimeSplitters or Team Fortress route of slightly stylized or comic characters, or whether they want hyper-realistic games.”
He added that the fate of TimeSplitters would ultimately be decided by whether or not there was still a demand for the comical shooter: “Like with all businesses, content is dictated by the desires of the market,” he said.
“These days the mass-market shooters tend to be aimed at the hyper-realistic stuff. If developers had free reign with the CryEngine, they would easily be able to produce really bizarre, wacky wonderful stuff.”
“We have artists who...

Crytek does not Rule Out TimeSplitters 4
August 17, 2009, 11:11:42 AM by SHARKGUN
Crytek UK MD says the group has ‘really exciting’ project concepts underwayTimeSplitters developer Free Radical (now Crytek UK) has said that the group is prepared to create the next edition of the TimeSplitters series, but no such project is currently underway.
In the second part of an exclusive interview, Develop put to Crytek UK MD Karl Hilton that the studio won’t be able to shake off speculation that it’s working on a new TimeSplitters title, to which he replied,
“Going forward, we’ve always made it very clear that we want to build original games and we’re going to do that, and we are concepting some of that up at the moment.
“It’s early days, but there’s some really exciting stuff that we’re concepting. When we’re ready we’ll talk to publishers, and hopefully publishers will like it, and we’ll own and produce those games in our own studio.”
Crytek UK’s sixty-plus staff is presently focused on developing t...

TimeSplitters 4 and other Free Radical Design projects likely on hold.
http://crytekuk.info/archives/234I have received information from two sources, which suggest TimeSplitters 4 has been put on hold. Not only this but all of the projects from Free Radical Design have been stalled. According to one of the sources, Crytek has bought Free Radical Design specifically to help them move to console development with their own games. This can be backed by what Cevat Yerli said in an interview, referring to Free Radical Design,
I was really impressed with their development talent, and it was effectively a 100 per cent console studio, whereas Crytek in Frankfurt is clearly the exact opposite.
When I went up there the first time it was just console, console, console, and no PC. There were more consoles than I’ve ever seen. So with us developing the CryEngine 3, we saw it as a perfect fit for our future plans.
What I expect is that the team will kick ass on c...

No news is not good news either
Thanks to a tip from one of our users, rockfordbj, we have an official comment from Crytek about TimeSplitters 4. Hello, Currently at this time we are unable to comment on any projects that we may or may not be working on unless otherwise mentioned on our press site or official community portals. For further information please be sure to check our website found at www.mycrysis.com for any more information. Kind Regards, Lee Wymer Crytek - Community Manager Hanauer Landstrasse 523 60386 Frankfurt , Germany While this provides no information at all on the existence of TimeSplitters 4, it is the first response from Crytek we've received at the least. Seems to me they would have outright denied it if they weren't keeping that ace in the hole though, which is a comforting thought at least. There is a good...
