Signature and Avatar Restrictions

  • Signatures are now text based
  • Limited to 300 characters (plenty) and one line of text
  • Hotlinking is allowed, so long as it does not link to any inappropriate content.
  • Smilies are allowed
  • All normal BBC code is allowed

As for avatars, these should not exceed the size of 100 by 100 pixels. The maximum file size should be around (60kb).

Please note that offensive or pornographic images are forbidden.

How to set up your custom Avatar

Step 1 - Host it
TimeSplittersportal.com does not host user images, so your first step will be finding a site online to host your avatar image. Some free hosting sites you can use are imgur or imageshack. It's recommended you save and host your image yourself rather then hotlinking it from someone else's site. Not only does it save their bandwidth, but you also gain control over the stability of your image appearing. (ie, their site goes down, so does your image)

Step 2 - format
You will want the direct link URL of your image. Copy and paste the URL into the 'I have my own pic' section of the forum profile section of your profile.
