I don't find the feature annoying, although I find it pretty irritating when people decide to post the message in their reply.

When I originally posted it I meant to say "Someone has posted something I have yet to read that my affect the relevance of my post." Now I just post it when I see it to reduce my thinking even further.

When I originally posted it I meant to say "Someone has posted something I have yet to read that my affect the relevance of my post."

This is pretty much why I did it before, too.  If I really liked something I posted, I'd make a note of the message and then comment on how the new post affects my post.  Generally, I just alter my post, though.  Then it became a big joke because most people are too lazy to review their posts, so they just post that message instead of fixing their post.  So I joined in the fun.  This thirty minutes of fun has probably cured me of that now.

I hope this blows over because earlier it got so irritating that I was going to outlaw it.

You guys really need to stop acting on your own personal irritants.  It's becoming quite...irritating.

I'm not the only one who finds it irritating as you can see from an above post.

It's not just the fact that it's annoying it's the fact that when you post you're supposed to construct your posts in a manner that is easy to read and replicates normal conversational speech.

Having someone else post before you without you noticing does not replicate conversational speech in the first place, having a way to say to people "Hey, I didn't see these guys posts." makes better sense of your post. Especially in the more constructive threads where a lot sense can be lost from your post if someone posts just before you, but sense can be returned by posting the message. Alternatively, and possibly the better option, would be to review your post and alter it, however we're all a bit too lazy to do that. Especially if, when you finish, you get the same message again.

I'm not the only one who finds it irritating as you can see from an above post.

I still think you (the administrators as a whole, not necessarily you specifically) are too quick to remove features that you personally find annoying as soon as you see possible back from one or two people; whereas bigger problems much more people complain about go unaddressed.

It's not just the fact that it's annoying it's the fact that when you post you're supposed to construct your posts in a manner that is easy to read and replicates normal conversational speech.

I don't think it's difficult to read (you can just ignore the red text), and if someone interrupts you in a normal conversation, you often say something about it.

There's no need to inform others you were in the process of posting. Just review you post, in most cases you either
A- don't need to alter your post much
B- don't need to post at all since the person who posted has already covered your point
however we're all a bit too lazy to do that.
You must be pretty lazy if you can't be bothered to make a few text alterations.

We clearly are considering we're all just sitting around on our computers posting about a videogame on a forum.

Well maybe if you are that lazy and you see the warning, and you can't be bothered altering your text, perhaps you shouldn't post at all. Then you wouldn't have to use all your effort to alter your post, nor type the warning.

Alternatively you could stop being lazy.

Pfft, type the warning?  We're lazy; we just copy and paste it.

The message is there for a reason, so you can amend your post in reference to the new one if needed. It serves a purpose.
