I believe you're forgetting one very important episode: The Return of Harmony.  It trumps every other episode in the series with ease.  It's one of the few episodes (possibly the only episode) that instead of making me think, "Hey, this episode is really good compared to other episodes of MLP," makes me think, "Hey, this episode is really good compared to most cartoons in general."

Fair enough. It was among the best episodes. The best part being when Discord tries to "corrupt" Fluttershy Still gets me everytime

While typing my most recent post in response to Hano 5, I had to look up the spelling of the word "schmooze".  As a starter, I typed "smooze" into Google.  I was greeted with a bunch of links to articles about My Little Pony and given no help whatsoever on discovering the actually spelling of "schmooze".

I wonder how many references are in the current show and fan-made spinoffs that bronies don't get because they didn't watch the shows before the current generation.

From what I've seen, there are a few times where My Little Pony will reference itself, sometimes all the way back to its first Generation. Some themes in the current Generation reference themes in the previous Generations. Some of the character designs are also similar to each other.

Though I will admit, I don't really care about the previous Generations.

To clarify what that is: It is a background character from the show, aptly named "Hairy Tipper" ("Hairy" being a horsey pun on "Harry") by the fanbase due to his resemblance in appearance to the one and only Harry Tipper.

The only episode of MLP I've ever seen was the one where Pinkie Pie had to write an essay or something about friendship and submit it to Celestia or whatever her name is by the end of the day.

As cute as it was, I don't think I'll be consistently watching this, unless one of you can link me to an episode which is so damn good, I explode.

I always say Party of One is a good episode for non-bronies.  I wouldn't advise getting hooked on the series based on that episode, though, because most episodes are unfortunately not like that one.

If you have forty-four minutes to dedicate to an episode, I'd say The Return of Harmony is just the tops (even better than Party of One).  The main reason I don't recommend that episode to people who haven't watched the show and are just curious to see an episode is because (1) it's long and (2) I think knowing the characters' personalities from watching other episodes is relatively important for the episode to make sense and be funny.

I had the misfortune of having to read that for the sake of a prank.  It wasn't very fun, but I will say it's the only time in my life I've ever vomited in my mouth while laughing at the same time (the vomit from the disembowelment, and the laughing from the bad puns).
