I hope so as well. We are getting something new this week, but it's just more screens, sadly. Want a second trailer  :(

At least the GTAV marketing has begun!

Rockstar said so  :)

They then confirmed that it was just more screens.

I'm really happy they are back. I loved getting bikes in San Andreas and doing a lot of bunny hops. I'm so hoping that we get the infamous cheat, peds riot, and it isn't just a few peds on this street open fire, but actually an open war with each other. Though that may be too much to put in, since GTAIV had to get rid of things like the silenced pistol and ferry, because they had problems fitting all of that in.

The GTA IV engine was brand new at the time. Now that some of the kinks have been worked out, I think V will be a smoother game. At least, I hope.

I'm starting to get very excited for GTAV. Maybe the IV dislikers/haters will be happy with this one, since it doesn't really look like it'll be a gritty game with not so many features.

What?  I hated GTA IV, but when I played it I was very impressed with everything they had in it (or in the case of things like the cell phone and all that went along with that, very annoyed).  It wasn't a lack of features that made the game bad, it was the terrible controls and camera views.  In truth, the fact that the game was ruined by something as easy to fix as the controls and camera view was very sad to me, because it looked like an otherwise very impressive game.

I thought the controls were fine. I don't see what is so bad about the controls in IV. And camera views? Can you elaborate on that?

The camera DIDN'T turn with the car when you were driving, meaning you had to control both the camera AND the car unless you used the hood cam.  And when you were on foot, the camera actually physically RESISTED change in motion of your character himself, making turning and running in the direction you wanted sluggish and sometimes even impossible.

Control problems included the aiming system that refused to change targets no matter what you did (this may have been an Xbox exclusive glitch because I talked to people who played the PS3 version and they didn't seem to have problems).  You also could not steer the cars using the D-pad; I believe the D-pad was assigned to some idiotic function like changing the radio or something else equally useless.  The walking problem mentioned above is also a control problem.  If I recall, the game also introduced a cover system, and cover systems are generally pointless and annoying.  In addition to all that, when your cell phone rang, the answer phone button REPLACED the handbrake button, meaning if you were trying to drive around a corner and it rang, you crashed.

This is all just from memory of playing it a few years ago.  If I had played it recently, I'd probably have even more problems to list.

To be honest, I've never had a problem with the camera views and controls. I only had problems with the lack of content. It's still a very good GTA game.

I don't know about the PS3 and PC version, but I know that in the 360 version, the Right Bumper and A button were both handbrake buttons, so issues like this wouldn't happen.
You talkin to me?I don`t think so! You can just call me HTR!(Wow,that sounded cheesy).

Except I always used the A button for handbrake.

Now that I think about it, I believe R2 was the gas in GTA IV, meaning that steering with the joystick was tolerable.  I still prefer using X (or A) for gas and the D-pad to steer, though.
