Crytek Community Manager denies on Twitter that TS4 has been made yet.
FezzyBear:
Now, the wording of the answers and topic title is important. Both the Crysis/Crytek and Cry_Tom Twitter accounts say that TimeSplitters 4 has not been made yet. Even if TimeSplitters was in the works, saying that it hasn't been made yet is only telling the truth and not breaking any NDA law as far as I can tell.
Not so long ago, everybody was asking if TimeSplitters 4 was 'in the works' or was 'being' made, and nobody would give a straight answer due to NDA.
If @imadeadman_rip asked, "Is Crytek currently working on TimeSplitters 4?", would Cry_Tom have really turned around and said, "No"?
Here's a screencap of what went down:
Thanks to Cairn Trenor for discovering this, and thanks to @imadeadman_rip for asking it. He recently made an account here too.
Cry_Tom is a member of this site too now, and it's a bit of a shame for a Community Manager on Twitter to have every word he types scrutinised by us, but he has either completely denied that TimeSplitters 4 is in the works, or he's responded in a way that doesn't break NDA and still keeps the future of TimeSplitters hidden.
I really don't know what to extract from this news, but it doesn't look good for TS4 and I guess I'm clutching at straws trying to put a positive spin on it.
Edit: To enhance my point about the wording of the questions and answers being important:

@Cry_Tom Is anything happening with Timesplitters 4? I'm sick of all these cod clones D:
@LiamEvans177 nothing has been announced so sadly i can't really answer your question
NDA again. I do agree that him saying "It hasn't been made yet." is a way of getting past the NDA, anyway make of this what you will.

Thanks, larenzo177.
Edit dos:
Drifting:
It doesn't sound like they have any plans to begin development any time soon. It's disheartening that they've been sitting on the TimeSplitters IP for years now and have yet to get a project off the ground. Surely that must have been at least part of the appeal that motivated them to buy the former Free Radical Design? It'd be kind of odd if they really just canned the whole project after the buyout, but I suppose it's not unprecedented.
Darkrage:
maybe because of homefront 2?

I agree with all of this.
When I saw more news on the front page, I was hoping that it was something good. I should have known better..
