I haven't yet had chance to see Toy Story 3, but if it's anything like its predecessors, it'll be brilliant.

Finding Nemo was my favorite movie as a kid, until Pixar released The Incredibles.

Jurassic Park was a good film, but I didn't watch it as many times as Indiana Jones, Back to the Future or Star Wars.

FN it is :)

Hi, sorry for the long absence.

Well I'm fine that Invasion USA bites the dust right now, even a great bomb of 80s stupidness is nothing against dinosaurs.

About Dawn of the Dead, the funniest thing about this, it was beaten by Shaun of the Dead, made by fans of it.

I go for jurassic park, the animatronic effects didn't get old, and the casting was great.

Finding Nemo and Jurassic Park progress to the semis with scores of 7 and 5 respectively. Toy Story misses out with 3 votes.

Final match of the quarter finals
Shaun of the Dead VS Sin City VS Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Shaun of the Dead (FezzyBear)
A man decides to turn his moribund life around by winning back his ex-girlfriend, reconciling his relationship with his mother, and dealing with an entire community that has returned from the dead to eat the living.

Shaun Of The Dead Trailer

Sin City (InfectedSausage)
A film that explores the dark and miserable town, Basin City, and tells the story of three different people, all caught up in violent corruption.

Sin City Trailer

Monty Python and the Holy Grail (Drifting)
King Arthur and his knights embark on a low-budget search for the Grail, encountering many very silly obstacles.

Urrgh, as much as I love Sin City (I picked it) I'm gonna have to pick Monty Python. It's just fun all the way through.

I voted for Shaun of the Dead and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Self-explanatory, really.
Hurrah.
I think this would be fun if every body was a monkey and have your neck snapped.

Shaun of the dead for me. Such a good movie and features them playing TS.

No love for Sin City ;(

Shaun of the Dead and Monty Python both progress with respectable scores of 9 and 7. Sin City falls.

This is (insert dramatic tension build up) the semi finals...

Jestem TS - Finding Nemo
FezzyBear - Shaun of the Dead
Drifting - Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Jurassic Park (Godman)

I'm with Jurassic Park on this one.
Not looking forward to the next round, where only one of Shaun of the Dead and Monty Python and the Holy Grail will survive. That would probably have made a good final round actually.
I think this would be fun if every body was a monkey and have your neck snapped.

Quite surprised that one of the films that I picked made it this far.

Finding Nemo is certainly a damn good film, but I doubt that it will be as popular as Jurassic Park years after it's release. I'll give Finding Nemo it's due, but it is missing many of the things that make Jurassic Park better in my opinion; such as an epic music line.

I cannot remember any music from FN but I do remember the JP music quite well, and every time I listen to it I get a cold chill of something amazing. One other thing I find remarkable about JP is that the special effects are so good for a film of it's era, possibly quite revolutionary for it's time, while FN is just the same as in any other recent Pixar production.

JP has two or three (?) sequels while FN doesn't, though that is probably just because it isn't a story you can really continue (unexpected sequels thread anyone?). Also FN is missing a scene of a t-rex fighting raptors whilst a banner with "Jurassic Park" written on it falls down.

Finally a bone to pick with FN is that it is supposed to get across the message that keeping wild animals, particularly tropical fish, isn't that great (but not for the reasons it depicts). This is all fine in itself, however it did cause a rise in demand for clownfish - a very hard animal to keep alive - which is the total opposite of what message it was trying to get across. Plus it means that children always shout "Nemo!" whenever they spot any member of the Amphiprioninae subfamily. :rage:

EDIT: This post is quite long... Is it wrong that every time I wrote FN I thought of a Belgian gun manufacture?

From the top of the page/\

I beginning to wonder why the semi finals weren't just three-way battles, as we're essentially repeating the same poll :tarryhipper:

I was thinking exactly the same thing. Fabrique Nationale would probably be a decent title for a movie anyway.

Finding Nemo tops Jurassic Park 7-4 and advances to the grand final.

Who will join FN? Will it be Shaun of the Dead or Monty Python?
