Anyone feel like submitting more? It's unlimited amount now. You can submit as much maps as you want.

No offense to the idea, lol, but I think a real "mapmaker" contest would attract more people and most likely something more awesome.

I think a mapmaker contest would only work if you could do a lot with the mapmaker. Or else they will all look the same.

Hmmm, I've seen way too many maps that all had a unique layout + look/feel to it. Can't say I support that statement. Ah well...!

Seriously, how? There aren't a look of tile sets and most of them look the same.

The look, as in, the tiles, yes, they do LOOK the same. But if we're talking about layouts, pretty much every map has something unique to it. So I do not support that statement, as simple as that.

Besides, I love mapmaker contests. It would bring some life to TSFP/TimeSplitters in general, haha.

If you were talking about TS1, then I would agree.

But it seems like you are talking about TSFP. I'm sorry but each layout in TSFP mapmaker is just bland coloring and that's it.

I agree, Infected should get himself comfortable with TSFP's map editor and all of its features. Of course, the best map editor is nothing without a good mapper, right? ;-)

lol, that reminds me when I began posting maps on youtube, and people were like : "oh, ****! can you really do that with the mapmaker???" 

if you are as experienced with the mapmaker as you make it sound, you probably don't know a tenth of what is possible

A map tournament where the ideas are not implemented in the mapmaker is much more forum-friendly than one where you have to use the in-game mapmaker.

Not everybody knows the tricks of the trade, and not everybody can upload a playthrough from their console to the internet. The contest would really only be limited to a few users on the forum, and the ideas themselves would be limited by the mapmaker. As good as some of you are with the mapmaker, there is still a limit on what can come out the other end.

I agree that there should be some sort of mapmaker tournament for you lot, but anybody can create and submit a map idea drawn on paper or on a computer program for this. I'm surprised that people aren't interested in submitting their own map ideas though.
