Django Unchained

QT fans, you excited for this? I sure am.

I managed to read a bit of the script and it seems like a typical QT film.
I'm just hoping Ennio Morricone comes to do the soundtrack like he was meant to do in Basterds (but couldn't)

If you guys haven't read the script, you should, by the way. It's simply great.
DU is the film I'm looking forward to the most in 2012.

No Samuel L. Jackson in trailer = No real excitement for me.
And why would I want to read the script of a film before I watch it? Sounds a bit silly, but then again, a Tarantino script probably won't make much sense unless you see it in the visual form anyway.
I think this would be fun if every body was a monkey and have your neck snapped.

He's in the film though

I can't help myself  :disappointed:

This going on my radar now. Looks great and has Samuel L. Jackson in it. If there isn't actually any James Brown in the movie, I'll be quite disappointed, though.

So...anyone excited?

I gotta admit, the trailers made my hype go down. It looks like it could be too cheesy or cartoony. But ya never know. I'm still sneaking into the film.

My excitement's waned quite a bit. I still look forward to seeing it though. I hope it will be both cheesy and cartoony.

What made your excitement go down?

The trailers are just a bit all over the place. Can't really describe it better than that. And I don't have a lot of faith in Jamie Foxx as the correct leading man in it.
Other than that, I know I'll watch the film and I'll most likely enjoy it. It's just that I don't think the trailers showcase the best aspects of the film. The Jonah Hill part about if anybody brought any extra bags just seemed out of place and shite, and everybody was frothing over the 'I like the way you die, boy' line for some reason, while I think it's pish.

I'm looking forward to the wider film as a whole though. Seeing how he merges Western and Blaxploitation will be hella interesting, but I just wish the trailers were a bit better.

The Jonah Hill part made no sense. Why is he in the film? Who decided it? Though, I do find it funny how the actor is also in an upcoming Martin Scorsese film as one of the main characters (I believe it's one of the main). I guess people really love him.
