Oh, true.

- Hot Fuzz
- Airplane
- Red Dwarf
- There's Something About Mary
- The Simpsons

Hot Fuzz and Paul are very similar films when it comes to the comedy. I don't understand how you can like one and hate the other.

Similar in what sense? Just because Simon and Nick are the main stars? The comedy is more clever and out there in Hot Fuzz, while the comedy in Paul is...dumb jokes. Also, the stories are nothing alike.

I find the jokes similar to be honest.

How though? Please explain because there was not one joke in Paul that reminded me of the humor in Hot Fuzz.

I can't think of one off the top of my head but It reminded me of Hot Fuzz when I was watching it with the banter between characters.

I was disappointed when I went on to IMDb and discovered that Paul had been written by Pegg and Frost. I thought they really lost a lot of the elements that SotD and Hot Fuzz had when not working with Edgar Wright.
Looking forward to the third in the Cornetto trilogy immensely. The World's End will hopefully be superb.
I think this would be fun if every body was a monkey and have your neck snapped.

I choose Happy Gilmore. Paul lacks that one key catalyst: Edgar Wright.

Happy Gilmore whacks Paul with a golf with a 2-4.

Hate to vote against Goldeneye, as it's probably my favourite Bond movie, but my vote goes to Alien.

Goddamnit! My favorite horror/sci-fi movie appears in the poll a day before I came back from holiday and then loses horribly to Goldeneye - probably the only Bond movie I haven't seen yet. :tarryhipper:

I agree. A great horror film that lost to a Bond film I have yet to see (i think).

GoldenEye was the best of the Brosnon films by far. In fact, I'd probably call it the best post-"classic era" Bond flick.

Still, I don't think it holds a candle to Alien.

Goldeneye [insert James Bond reference that I can't think of, right now] Alien with a 6-2.
